Mr. Raaja Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Apollo International Limited is a management graduate from Drexel university, US. Though the family business ensured a natural progression for Mr. Raaja Kanwar into the tyre business, but led by a vision of ‘Nurturing Entrepreneurs through Partnership’ and a passion to forever venture into the unknown, he led Apollo International Limited (AIL), to spearhead the diversification plans of the Apollo group into international trading of tyres, various commodities, products and services; leather business, logistics business and digital cinema.

AIL is a part of the over USD 1 billion Apollo Group, a leading business house of India, founded and built up by Mr. Onkar Singh Kanwar. Since its inception, AIL has been a consistently profit making and growing company. In recognition of its dynamic performance, the World Economic Forum has made AIL a Founding Member of its ‘Global Growth Companies’.

Widely travelled, Raaja is a Member of numerous organizations including the Global Leadership Group of BASCAP (Business Action to Stop Counterfeiting and Piracy), under the aegis of International Chambers of Commerce, Paris; Member of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Government of India Core Group on ‘Anti Piracy and Exhibition Sector’. He Chairs the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Digital Entertainment Forum and is a Member of the Young President’s Organisation.
